Finance your cargo. Preserve your cash.
For an approved transaction, Rhofin may finance an eligible supplier balance after shipment confirmation and before cargo release. Your logistics provider verifies custody, your supplier is paid directly, and you repay before release.
Your supplier is paid directly
The eligible supplier balance is paid directly once shipment is confirmed and logistics custody is verified. You pay your usual deposit; your cash stays in your account.
Cash preserved before release
Keep cash available for your next PO, duties, freight, payroll or customer commitments while cargo is still in transit or awaiting release.
Shipment by shipment
Financing is tied to specific eligible cargo and ends before release. No requirement to finance every shipment.
Rhofin is currently reviewing a limited number of initial transactions. Availability varies by jurisdiction and each transaction is subject to eligibility, verification, credit approval, documentation and applicable law. Rhofin is not a bank.
The Problem
Supplier balances
block the next shipment.
The supplier wants the balance paid.
The remaining supplier balance may be required before the goods are usable or monetizable, often when shipment is confirmed and weeks before the cargo can earn anything.
The goods can't pay for themselves.
The shipment is still in transit, at destination, or awaiting release. The cash is committed long before the cargo generates any revenue.
The next shipment waits.
Cash used for this shipment is no longer available for the next PO, the next season, or the next customer order.
How It Works
How it works.
Two steps per shipment. You pay your deposit as usual; financing starts once the shipment is confirmed and ends before cargo release.
Shipment confirmed
Eligible supplier balance is financed once cargo is under logistics control and the B/L is issued.
Repay before release
Repay the agreed amount before release. Once payment is received, release instructions are issued and the cargo keeps moving.
Built around your trade cycle
Shipment by shipment
Use financing only when it helps.
No standing commitment
No minimums, monthly fees or ongoing commitment.
Repeat shipments
Repeat shipments may be reviewed more efficiently, subject to continued eligibility and transaction approval.
Example
Balance due before release.
You place a $100,000 order and pay the supplier deposit or upfront amount required under your terms. When the shipment is confirmed, a remaining supplier balance is due. The cargo will not be released for another 35 to 45 days. The eligible supplier balance is paid directly to your supplier, and you settle before release.
Your supplier is paid, your shipment keeps moving, and your cash stays available during the pre-release window.
Supplier payment terms vary. Rhofin finances eligible supplier balances, not a fixed percentage of every order.
For Repeat Importers
Batches work together.
For a single shipment, Rhofin helps bridge the supplier-balance gap before release. For repeat importers, multiple eligible batches can create a rolling working-capital cycle across shipments.
Batch A · delivered
An eligible receivable may be financed after proof of delivery.
Batch B · in transit
The eligible supplier balance may be financed before release.
Batch C · planned
Cash is preserved for the next PO.
Rhofin does not finance the same released goods on an unsecured basis; the benefit comes from combining eligible batches. Subject to eligibility, verification and approval.
Planned capability
Receivables finance.
Rhofin is developing a separate receivables-finance capability for eligible delivered invoices. It is not part of the current import-finance programme and will be available only where permitted and subject to separate approval.
| Inventory Finance | Receivables Finance | |
|---|---|---|
| Trigger | Shipment confirmed / B/L issued | Delivery confirmed / POD issued |
| Cash goes to | Supplier | You |
| Later payment | You repay before cargo release | Customer pays the assigned invoice |
| Result | Cargo released | Invoice converted into cash |
